Wonders

What if there was an 8th day?

I do not do a lot of TV watching partly because I grew up with the understanding that time is essential, it should be used judiciously and every hour should be accounted for. Therefore, I tend to watch programmes, when I do, that are informative such as History Channel, National Geographic. I particularly like the latter. I appreciate nature and God’s works each time I am tuned to the channel even if it happens to be a repeated programme that I had seen multiple times.

No wonder David says “LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all, the earth is full of your creatures. Here is the sea, great and wide, which teems with innumerable creatures, living things both great and small“.

Let us take a look at creation as recorded in Genesis:

1st day- God created light and separated light from darkness

2nd day – God created a canopy which the waters and He called it sky

3rd day – God created dry ground,  oceans and vegetation

4th day – God created sun, moon and stars

5th day – God created sea animals and birds

6th day – God created land animals and human beings

7th day- God blessed the 7th day and rested

If there was another day of creation, call it the 8th day, what would God have created? Oh, His works are just perfect! Nature is perfect!

  1. Folasade says:

Everything God created He created them with perfection and beauty! “Even Solomon in his full regal is not as beautiful as the lily” !

    • Indeed, my brain can’t even think of anything missing; it’s mind blowing. Just like the song “Indescribable, Uncontainable, you placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name….All powerful, Untameable, awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim you are amazing God”…

      Thanks for the comment.
